James Gunn announced that his brother Sean Gunn will reprise his role as Kraglin in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

After Kraglin’s surprisingly touching story in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, director James Gunn recently confirmed that the lovable Ravager will return for for the sequel. Sean Gunn’s Kraglin has had his own interesting journey alongside the team’s escapades, briefly turning on Yondu during the mutiny in Vol. 2 before Taserface and the other Ravagers murdered his friends. It also seemed like he became an honorary member of the Guardians by the end of the second film after helping them defeat Ego and the Sovereign.

Director James Gunn confirmed the return of Sean Gunn’s Kraglin during a Q&A session on Instagram to cheer fans up during quarantines and self-isolation. When asked about the character returning for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3, Gunn said, “What kind of Guardians movie would it be without Kraglin?” However, he didn’t reveal whether he’d still be wearing Yondu’s fin that he was practicing with at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
