Is the Superman trailer coming anytime soon? James Gunn updates fans on the production schedule for the DC Universe’s freshman outing.
Fans have been itching for any more Superman content that they can get their hands on. Ever since it was announced that James Gunn would be helming the first film in the new DC Universe, there’s been a rabid need for any bits of updates or information the internet can get their hands on.
With the recent reveal of David Corenswet’s costume for Superman, some fans have already started to ask when the trailer would be dropping. While a ridiculous question, James Gunn took to social media to answer it in earnest. While responding to an Instagram comment, Gunn said that Superman is only halfway through production, meaning it will be a while until fans see anything out of the DC Universe project.
The DC Universe Is Coming Fast
For as much as some online may complain, James Gunn is moving at a breakneck speed to get Superman out the door. The new DC Universe was only announced at the tail-end of 2022. To get a project of this scale out in 2025, especially given the strikes right at the start of production, is a miracle in it of itself.
Superman also won’t be the first project in the new DC Universe. Creature Commandos is set to premiere later this year, meaning that a trailer for that will likely come before James Gunn even finishes directing Superman. For as slow as things seem, DC fans are truly eating better than they have in years!
