James Gunn has revealed a new look at The Suicide Squad on the two front covers for the latest issue of Empire Magaizne.

Although we have a long wait until The Suicide Squad hits theaters, James Gunn recently revealed two stunning covers for the next issue of Empire Magazine which feature the team. The plot of the DC Comics film is still shrouded in mystery, although a brief shot from the DC FanDome footage seems to imply the team will be up against Starro the Conqueror. The first magazine cover assembles the team, with every member rocking a typical action hero pose. Well, aside from Sean Gunn’s Weasel, anyway.

The second cover, which is made solely for Empire Magazine subscribers, shows most of the team members joking around with each other. But most importantly of all, director James Gunn himself features alongside the impressive group of actors. The next issue of the publication will seemingly feature a treasure trove of new images and interviews ahead of Task Force X’s next cinematic outing, so it’ll be a must-read for DC fans. Take a look at The Suicide Squad covers below.

The ensemble cast included Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, and Jared Leto as The Joker. However, James Gunn is expected to deliver on the fresh take on the team in his upcoming movie.

Written and directed by James Gunn, The Suicide Squad stars David Dastmalchian, John Cena, Jai Courtney, Joaquín Cosío, Nathan Fillion, Joel Kinnaman, Mayling Ng, Flula Borg, Sean Gunn, Juan Diego Botto, Storm Reid, Pete Davidson, Taika Waititi, Alice Braga, Steve Agee, Tinashe Kajese, Daniela Melchior, Peter Capaldi, Julio Ruiz, Jennifer Holland, Viola Davis, Idris Elba, Margot Robbie, and Michael Rooker.
