A new concept design shows Jamie Foxx suiting up in a completely different Electro costume for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3.
After the surprising news that Jamie Foxx is returning to reprise his role as Electro on the big screen, fans began speculating that this might signal the arrival of a live-action Spider-Verse, since the villain was last seen battling Andrew Garfield in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. In a now-deleted post, Foxx confirmed that he won’t be blue in the Tom Holland sequel, leading many to assume that he might get a comic-accurate costume as Electro in Spider-Man 3.
Since Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3 has finally begun filming in Atlanta, it’s not impossible that we might get a better idea of what’s ahead in the film sooner rather than later. It’s not clear if Spider-Verse will be included or not, especially after Sony’s mysterious statement after rumors swirled that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are returning as their respective Wall-Crawlers. But a new design from Jackson_Caspersz on Instagram gives Jamie Foxx an Electro suit which would easily fit into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His blue look is completely gone, and the star instead dons a green and yellow suit with a hulking harness that presumably would help him use his electric powers. Take a look at Jamie Foxx as Electro in Spider-Man 3 below.
