DC’s Aquaman star Jason Momoa has shared a video of himself getting his head shaved to raise awareness of single-use plastics.

Jason Momoa is apparently following in the footsteps of his DC hero Aquaman and trying to protect the oceans. But instead of fighting Black Manta or Ocean Master, the star is trying to raise awareness of the harm caused by single-use plastics.

In a new video shared on social media, Momoa aims to get the conversation around single-use plastics started by shaving off his long signature locks.

A Bold New Look For Jason Momoa

Jason Momoa shared the video of himself getting his head shaved on Instagram, while he spoke about the need to eliminate single-use plastics to benefit the ocean.

The Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom star said “I’m shaving off the hair. I’m doing it for… single-use plastics. I’m tired of these plastic bottles. We gotta stop. Plastic forks, all that s***. It just goes into our land, into our ocean.”

Jason Momoa will next be seen on the big screen, with all his hair still on his head, defending the oceans in far more dramatic fashion in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Following the film’s release recently being pushed back, it is now set to arrive in theaters in December 2023.
