The working title for Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye series on Disney Plus references a Kate Bishop storyline.

It’s not clear when production will begin on Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye series for Disney Plus, but the working title for the show has seemingly been revealed. Most recently, Hailee Steinfeld danced around the rumors that she’s joining the series as Clint Barton’s replacement Kate Bishop. But now, the working title for the Disney plus series surfaced online, revealing a reference to a storyline featuring Bishop.

According to Murphy’s Multiverse, Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye will be produced under the working title “Anchor Point.” The first six issues of Kelly Thompson’s 2017 run on the Kate Bishop character is titled Anchor Points and follows the archer as a private investigator in Los Angeles. It’ll be some time before fans get to see the Disney Plus series, but at least we know what the title sequence will look like.

Full details on Hawkeye are currently under wraps, though the Disney Plus series will follow Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton as he prepares to pass the mantle to Kate Bishop. In the comics, Kate Bishop is the third character and first woman to assume the Hawkeye name.
