Is Tom Holland Playing Hawkeye In Marvel Studios’ ‘What If…?’

Marvel Studios’ What If…? may be featuring Tom Holland’s Peter Parker but not as the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Instead, it seems the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s wall-crawler will be taking on the role of Hawkeye in the upcoming animated series.

The Disney Plus series remains in production despite the coronavirus pandemic and is set for a 2021 release. The trailer for the series was released last fall, however, it featured a major reveal that went unnoticed until now. Thanks to Comicbook.com’s Brandon Davis, we can see that the series appears to be featuring Tom Holland taking on the role of a younger Hawkeye than what we’ve seen in the films.

So what do you think? Is the character of Hawkeye a good fit for Tom Holland? Are you excited to see him featured in Marvel Studios’ What If…? Let us know in the comments below!

Created for Disney Plus by A.C. Bradley with Bryan Andrews directing, Marvel Studios’ What If…? features the voice talent of Jeffrey Wright as The Watcher with Haley Atwell, Chadwick Boseman, Jeff Goldblum, and many more making guest appearances. The first episode of the show will center around Peggy Carter who is given the super-soldier serum and becomes Captain America during World War II instead of Steve Rodgers. Steve Rogers will still join Peggy Carter in the fight in a robotic suit made by Howard Stark.

In addition to Marvel Studios’ What If…? there are several other Marvel series in development for the streaming service including The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki, Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, and She-Hulk, with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier still slated to be released first despite the production being delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

What If…? is scheduled to premiere on Disney Plus in mid-2021. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on Tom Holland, and Marvel Studios’ What If…? and be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content in the future!
