Star Wars The Rise Of Skywalker Keri Russell J. J. Abrams Death Star GreedoJ. J. Abrams revealed the team behind the film just finished working on Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

In just under one month, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be released in theaters and bring an end to the sequel trilogy. However, The Rise of Skywalker will also serve as the conclusion to the nine-film saga George Lucas started with the original Star Wars over forty years ago.

During an interview with Good Morning America, J. J. Abrams discussed the highly-anticipated film and revealed that they had just completed work on Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker the day before. “Just. Yesterday. Yes, it’s done. It’s done. Now people have to see it,” J. J. Abrams said before commenting on the film’s reshoots, which he said were a normal part of the process:

“This happened last time as well. You see something and think, ‘Oh, you know what? That could be a little clearer, that could be a little bit better.’ And if you have to ability to fix the piece, you take advantage of that.”

Carrie Fisher will appear as General Leia Organa through the use of previously unreleased footage shot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be released in theaters on December 19, 2019.
