Tenet star John David Washington becomes John Stewart in a new concept design for the Green Lantern Corps movie.
John David Washington has confessed that he has not gotten any offers from DC or Marvel regarding a role in a comic book movie, but after starring in Tenet, the 36-year-old actor is bound to sport spandex on the big screen eventually. There’s no shortage of options for who Washington could take from the page to the big screen and some, including Christopher Nolan, have suggested him as a choice for Green Lantern.
A Green Lantern movie and HBO Max series are in the works, so John Stewart is bound to show up at some point in live-action for the very first time. Digital artist Daniel Savage has taken it upon himself to give us an awesome look for what John David Washington could bring to the Green Lantern role. Here is the official synopsis for Tenet:
“John David Washington is the new Protagonist in Christopher Nolan’s original sci-fi action spectacle “Tenet.” Armed with only one word—Tenet—and fighting for the survival of the entire world, the Protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time. Not time travel. Inversion.”
Written and directed by Christopher Nolan, Tenet stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine, Kenneth Branagh, and Himesh Patel. Christopher Nolan also serves as a producer alongside his wife Emma Thomas, with Thomas Hayslip on board as an executive producer.
