Gotham should prepare for trouble, and make it double! New posters for Joker: Folie à Deux highlight fresh looks for Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn and Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck.

With Joker: Folie à Deux just over a month from release, fans are getting hyped for the long-awaited return to Gotham City. The film’s last trailer sent the internet into a frenzy over the gorgeous set design helmed by Todd Phillips. Yet, this new batch of powers takes a different approach to the film, separating Harley Quinn and Arthur Fleck to give Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix a much moodier spotlight compared to prior promotional material.

These posters seem to show that both Harley Quinn and Arthur Fleck stand alone in the darkness of Gotham City, each basking in their own spotlight despite the darkness around them. Of course, that is until they find each other in Joker: Folie à Deux, with Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix sharing the leading role in the upcoming sequel to one of the biggest R-rated films of all time.

Joker: Folie à Deux Takes A Jab At Deadpool

These aren’t the only new posters that Joker: Folie à Deux has gotten in recent years. Just ahead of Lady Gaga’s debut as Harley Quinn in the sequel, the film was dethroned as the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time by Deadpool and Wolverine. To honor the competition, director Todd Phillips decided to replace Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck on the iconic poster from the first film with a dancing Wade Wilson.

There’s been a lot of debate over whether Joker: Folie à Deux will be able to take the crown back from Deadpool and Wolverine. Some say that Lady Gaga’s star power alone as Harley Quinn will be able to top the box office charts. However, others suggest that the novelty of Joaquin Phoenix’s take on Arthur Fleck has worn thin with audiences.

Joker: Folie à Deux is set to hit theaters on October 4, 2024.  Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the sequel and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
