Lovecraft Country star Jonathan Majors has responded to the reports that he had been cast as Kang The Conqueror in the upcoming Marvel film, Ant-Man 3.

Earlier this month, Marvel fans were hit by a bombshell when it was revealed that Lovecraft Country star Jonathan Majors had been cast as the supervillain Kang the Conqueror. The character was originally created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and is traditionally an enemy of the Fantastic Four and sometimes the Avengers. In the comics, the character is a time-traveling entity who makes trouble for our heroes in various ways.

While not an Ant-Man antagonist in the more traditional sense, Ant-Man and company did inadvertently discover time travel which was used to gather the Infinity Stones throughout the past in Avengers: Endgame. Having Kang The Conqueror as the next Ant-Man antagonist might not be the most traditional route to go with the character but the foundation is there. However, Jonathan Majors himself is remaining coy about his casting as the Marvel antagonist.

While speaking to Jimmy Fallon, the late-night talk show host flat out asked the actor if he was playing Kang the Conqueror. The actor would neither confirm nor deny it, saying he heard it from the same place Fallon did:

What do you all make of Jonathan Majors’ response to the Kang the Conqueror story? Would you like to see him portray the Marvel supervillain in Ant-Man 3? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
