Fantastic Four director Josh Trank revealed he regrets sending that bitter tweet the day before the film’s theatrical release.
The recent Polygon profile on director Josh Trank revealed more about what happened behind-the-scenes of the infamous 2015 Fantastic Four movie from 20th Century Fox. In a quickly deleted tweet, Trank told fans that there was a much better version of the movie back in 2014 but that they’ll never see it because of Fox. However, the director now regrets writing the tweet after seeing the fallout from a distance.
Although the Polygon profile didn’t reveal Trank’s exact comments on the situation, it points out he regrets writing it since he fell out with friends that also worked on the film by directly insulting their attempts to help create his vision of Marvel’s First Family. His comments also reportedly lost Fox $10 million for putting such a negative light on the film. Take a look at the tweet from 2015 below.
LIVING for this deleted Josh Trank tweet. Just as interested in the BTS drama of this movie than the movie itself. pic.twitter.com/9lEGAgCmen
