Jurassic World roared its way to box office dominance back in June 2015 as the franchise returned to theaters with a vengeance. Popping up in the film as Gray and Zach’s mom, Karen Mitchell, Judy Greer isn’t sure she’ll be back for Jurassic World 2, and with each passing day, the prospect seems less and less likely.
Chatting with CinemaBlend about her role in this weekend’s new comedy, Wilson, Greer was asked about bringing Karen back for more. Unfortunately, it sounds like there’s not much to look forward to concerning a return from Greer as all she could really say was: “Not as far as I know yet.”
With production for the sequel getting underway in February and Greer still having not heard from new director J.A. Bayona, it seems unlikely at this point that she’ll make a return to the series. Still, anything could happen as production is bound to be underway for quite a while in order to film a sequel of the Jurassic World type of proportions.
As for the highly anticipated sequel, the most we’ve really gotten so far is a logline and a single image. With production in full-swing, we’ll hopefully be receiving some more tidbits about the film soon.
The adventures at the Jurassic World resort and theme park continue as the government has trained dinosaurs to carry weapons and use them for battle purposes.
Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are returning for the sequel along with newcomers Toby Jones, Justice Smith, Rafe Spall, Ted Levine, Daniella Pineda, Geraldine Chaplin, and James Cromwell.
Jurassic World 2 is set to hit theaters on June 22, 2018.
