Star Wars: The Clone Wars voice actress Katee Sackhoff will reprise her role as Bo-Katan Kryze for the second season of the Disney Plus series The Mandalorian.
The Mandalorian season two is shaping up to be one of the most exciting Star Wars projects yet with its recent additions of Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett and Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano. Now, Slashfilm has revealed that another fan-favorite Star Wars character is joining the series, as the site reports that Katee Sackhoff will appear as a live-action version of Bo-Katan Kryze in its second season.
A Star Wars veteran, Katee Sackhoff made her debut as Bo-Katan in the fourth season of The Clone Wars before reprising the role in seasons five and seven. Sackhoff also voiced the character in the fourth season of Star Wars Rebels.
According to Slashfilm, Katee Sackhoff has already filmed her scenes for The Mandalorian season two as the series wrapped filming before the ongoing crisis brought the film and TV industry to a standstill. Post-production on the series is being done remotely, and Disney CEO Bob Chapek recently said that the second season won’t be delayed.
Here is the official synopsis for The Mandalorian:
After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog, and Nick Nolte. The Star Wars series was written by Jon Favreau, who also serves as an executive producer alongside Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist is also on board as a co-executive producer.
The Mandalorian season one is now available exclusively on Disney Plus. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on the Star Wars franchise and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
