According to a report by Slash Film, Rosario Dawson has been cast as Ahsoka Tano for the second season of The Mandalorian.

The animated film titled Star Wars: The Clone Wars introduced a new Jedi apprentice named Ahsoka Tano, who quickly became a fan-favorite and subsequently appeared in the animated series of the same name as well as the Rebels series. Of course, many fans have been clamoring to see Ahsoka Tano appear in a live-action Star Wars project and a new report by Slash Film suggests they may finally get their wish when the second season of The Mandalorian debuts.

Slash Film reports it has confirmed with two independent sources that Rosario Dawson has been tapped to bring Ahsoka Tano to life for the second season of The Mandalorian. The outlet notes that Lucasfilm and The Mandalorian producer Dave Filoni have not responded to requests for comment nor have representatives for Rosario Dawson.

Rosario Dawson has been a popular fan casting choice for the role of Ahsoka Tano in a live-action Star Wars project. In fact, Rosario Dawson expressed her willingness to play Ahsoka Tano earlier this year.

Here is the official synopsis for The Mandalorian:
