Ke Huy Quan will join Loki Season 2, while Randall Park will return as Jimmy Woo in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Loki Season 2 is set to premiere in 2023, and an exciting new cast member was just announced at the D23 Expo. Ke Huy Quan, of Indiana Jones, The Goonies, and most recently, Everything Everywhere All At Once fame will be joining the cast, as part of the TVA. Elsewhere in the MCU, Randall Park is confirmed to reprise his role as Jimmy Woo in the upcoming sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Ke Huy Quan joining Loki Season 2 continues his career resurgence, following his acclaimed performance in Daniels’ Everything Everywhere All At Once, which was released by A24 earlier this year. As for Randall Park, his appearance in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will be his first since he was seen in WandaVision.
Before joining Loki Season 2, Ke Huy Quan is perhaps most-recognized by audiences for his performances in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and The Goonies. He has been mostly absent from film and television as an actor for decades due to what he saw was a lack of acting opportunities for him. Since the release of Crazy Rich Asians, he opted to return to the industry, and his performance in Everything Everywhere All At Once has garnered some early Oscar buzz.
Here is the synopsis for the first season of Loki:
In Marvel Studios’ “Loki,” the mercurial villain Loki (Tom Hiddleston) resumes his role as the God of Mischief in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.”
Directed by Kate Herron, with Michael Waldron serving as head writer, the series stars Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Owen Wilson, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
Loki season two will premiere next summer on Disney Plus. Meanwhile, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will hit theaters on February 17, 2023. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the future of the MCU, and subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
