Riverdale star KJ Apa becomes Wally West to replace Ezra Miller as The Flash in the DC Extended Universe in a new image.

With Ezra Miller’s future as The Flash currently in doubt, digital artist Subi Ozil has created an awesome image that imagines Riverdale actor KJ Apa as Wally West. In the image, KJ Apa can be seen with a suit that’s inspired by The Flash’s look in the critically-acclaimed 2017 NetherRealm Studios video game Injustice 2.

Back in March, Ezra Miller was said to be writing his own script for The Flash movie with famed comic book writer Grant Morrison. His contract reportedly expired this past May and there’s been no word on his future as the iconic DC Comics character. Spider-Man: Homecoming writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein are still attached to direct The Flash’s first cinematic solo outing.

KJ Apa is best known for his work as Archie Andrews on Riverdale. He’ll be back as Archie when the show returns on The CW. Earlier this year, KJ Apa was also seen in Netflix’s new coming-of-age rom-com The Last Summer.

Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen was last seen in Justice League. Here’s the official synopsis for that movie:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.

Justice League is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on KJ Apa and Ezra Miller.
