Batgirl set photos reveal our first look at Leslie Grace’s Barbara Gordon and feature an interesting mural of Batman and Robin.
Production on Batgirl is in full swing in the United Kingdom and we finally have our first look at Leslie Grace’s Barbara Gordon. In the set photos, we see Grace’s Barabra Gordon in civilian clothes, repping the GCPD. Another Batgirl set photo features a mural of Batman and Robin. You can see both photos below via Twitter:

Based on the set photo of Leslie Grace, and the tease shared by the Batgirl directors, Barbara Gordon might be working for the GCPD alongside her father in this version. The upcoming film will also feature the return of Michael Keaton’s Batman, and the mural in the set photo appears to show off a new suit along with a Robin.
In the ongoing comic book run, Batman ’89, the series recently introduced a Robin for Keaton’s Bruce Wayne named Drake Winston. An older Barbara Gordon is also in the comic book series and it seems that will not tie into the continuation of Tim Burton’s Batman universe on the big screen.
Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are directing Batgirl, which is being planned as a movie for the WarnerMedia streaming service HBO Max. The two most recently directed the 2020 box office hit Bad Boys for Life and episodes of the upcoming Disney Plus series Ms. Marvel. Christina Hodson, the screenwriter behind Birds of Prey and The Flash, penned the script.
DC’s Batgirl movie is set to follow the Barbara Gordon iteration of the Gotham City heroine. Barbara was last seen in a live-action feature film in Joel Schumacher’s Batman & Robin, with Alicia Silverstone playing the iconic DC Comics character. J.K. Simmons also stars as Commissioner Gordon, Brendan Fraser appearing as the villain Firefly, and Michael Keaton as Batman.
