Fans finally have their first look at the Sentry! The first look at Lewis Pullman’s suit in Thunderbolts was revealed in the film’s latest IMAX trailer.
Marvel has been playing things shockingly close to their chest when it comes to Sentry’s role in Thunderbolts. Despite the character having been all-but-confirmed for literal years at this point, the studio refuses to even acknowledge the possibility. Lewis Pullman’s character hasn’t even received the full alter ego yet in a trailer, having simply been referred to as “Bob” instead of the proper “Robert Reynolds”.
Yet as the release of Thunderbolts inches closer and closer, Marvel seems more than happy to tease their fans with the tiniest of hints about Bob’s true nature. The latest, and perhaps biggest, of which has come from the IMAX trailer for the film. While it’s hard to catch on a first watch, fans can spot a brief glimpse at the suit Lewis Pullman will be wearing as Sentry in the climax of the film.

Lewis Pullman’s Role As Sentry In Thunderbolts
Even those unaware that Lewis Pullman’s “Bob” is secretly Sentry in disguise likely have a pretty good idea that the character will turn heel over the course of Thunderbolts. From what has been shown in the latest trailer for the project, the character will seemingly be consumed by his evil alter ego “The Void” in the climax of the film, literally turning civilians to shadow during his rampage.
This has left many to wonder how the Thunderbolts will manage to stop such a powerful character. The first trailer for the film revealed that Yelena Belova’s central struggle will be to find meaning. It’s possible that she finds this meaning through working with her found family that is the team, and is able to use that bond to convince Lewis Pullman’s Sentry to overcome his dark nature and become a true hero.
