Loki introduced fans across the globe to the Time Variance Authority, a multiversal organization that monitors the timeline. With season 2 set to debut soon, producer Kevin Wright reveals his hopes for the future of the TVA in the MCU.
It’s no secret that the TVA has been one of fan’s favorite parts of Loki, with characters like Mobius and Ravonna Renslayer being standout stars from the organization. Though with the show’s second, and potentially final, season debuting soon, fans wonder if the TVA will appear elsewhere in the MCU. While producer Kevin Wright doesn’t have an answer, he certainly hopes they do:
“I think everything we are doing here certainly lays the groundwork for fertile storytelling elsewhere,” Wright told the Phase Zero channel. “I can say from everyone on the Loki team, we are hopeful and excited about the possibility of the TVA being able to— to continue to tell stories at the TVA. I always kind of think of them as our time-based multiverse version of SHIELD that it’s like we can use them in so many places and tell so many cool stories.”
Fans have already been speculating about the TVA’s involvement in everything from Deadpool 3 to Avengers: Secret Wars. It’s unclear if they will appear, especially given how much content each of those films has to churn through if recent rumors are true, though fans would certainly love to see Mobius’ return in the MCU beyond Loki.
Who else is attached to Loki season two?
Tom Hiddleston is spearheading the cast of Loki season two as the titular God of Mischief. The cast also includes Owen Wilson, Jonathan Majors, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Tara Strong, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Ke Huy Quan and Neil Ellice.
Eric Martin replaced Michael Waldron as the head writer of Loki for its second season. Martin and Waldron also serve as executive producers on the series alongside Tom Hiddleston, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead. Benson and Moorhead directed the majority of the episodes for the upcoming season.
