The latest set photos from Loki Season 2 reveal Sophia Di Martino is back as Sylvie and is going undercover as she reunites with Tom Hiddleston’s Loki.
The first season of Loki introduced Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie, the female variant of Loki who had gone rogue and set out to take down the Time Variance Authority. By the series’ end, she had killed the TVA’s founder, He Who Remains, splintering the timeline and unleashing the Multiverse.
While Sylvie’s future was left uncertain following the conclusion of Loki Season 1, new set photos confirm she is back and once again traveling through time alongside Loki.
Sylvie & Loki Grab A Big Mac
In a series of photos that have surfaced on Twitter, Sophia Di Martino can be seen shooting scenes for Loki Season 2 outside a McDonald’s. Tom Hiddleston is also present, wearing Loki’s TVA uniform.
Interestingly, Sylvie is not in her Asgardian outfit, instead dressed in era-appropriate clothes for the scene, which appears to take place in the 1970s. Whether she is undercover, has had her memories erased, or is playing a different Sylvie variant is not yet clear.

Sylvie survived the events of Loki‘s first season, but appeared to be stranded in the Citadel at the End of Time, the former dwelling place of Jonathan Majors’ He Who Remains. How she returns is one of many mysteries Season 2 will have to explain.
In the set photos above, Sylvie doesn’t appear to be acknowledging Loki. This could be a sign of bad blood between them after he tried to stop her killing He Who Remains in Season 1, or potentially a sign that – like the TVA agents – Sylvie no longer remembers her time with Loki.
