New Loki season two set photos feature Tom Hiddleson, Owen Wilson, and Sophia Di Martino back as their MCU counterparts.
Loki is one of the few Marvel Studios shows getting a second season, and filming is underway in the United Kingdom for a release next summer. The new season will be without season one showrunner Michael Waldron and director Kate Herron, but there will still be plenty of familiar faces in season two.
Previous set photos from the second season featured Tom Hiddleston’s Loki confronting Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie in front of a McDonald’s from the ’70s. New set photos from Just Jared reveal more from this season two sequence and the appearance of Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius. You can check out the set photos below.
The Story So Far…
Season one of the series introduced Jonathan Majors as the new big bad of the MCU in a different form and left Loki in a new universe where his relationship with Morbius is gone. It was also unclear what the fate of Sylvie was after sending Loki to the TVA, but based on these set photos, it’s safe to assume she will be a major player in the upcoming season.
Here is the synopsis for the first season of Tom Hiddleston’s Disney Plus series, Loki:
In Marvel Studios’ “Loki,” the mercurial villain Loki (Tom Hiddleston) resumes his role as the God of Mischief in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.”
Directed by Kate Herron, with Michael Waldron serving as head writer, the series stars Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Owen Wilson, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
Loki season two will premiere next summer on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the future of the MCU, and subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
