Loki showrunner Michael Waldron has revealed that the upcoming Tom Hiddleston series will contain science-fiction elements.
Late last week, Disney Plus launched the landing pages for three of its upcoming Marvel series: Loki, WandaVision, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The landing pages didn’t explicitly mention any new details but Loki showrunner Michael Waldron revealed that that isn’t the case. On an Instagram story, the showrunner for the Tom Hiddleston-led Disney Plus series discussed how the landing page hints at the science-fiction elements that will be present in the show.
Waldron’s Instagram story was also re-posted by Loki director Kate Herron, further validating the showrunner’s science-fiction based comments. You can check out Waldron’s comments below.

Waldron’s comments regarding how audiences can “expect the unexpected” are quite assuring as the Tom Hiddleston character has always been the odd one out in Odin’s family. Though it has been confirmed that the series will focus on the Loki that managed to steal the Tesseract in Avengers: Endgame, a majority of the info surrounding the Disney Plus series has been under wraps. With the confirmation that the series will delve deeper into the science-fiction realm, it would be awesome to seeing Loki planet-hopping from episode to episode, swindling the local residents!
