New images from the set of Sony’s upcoming Madame Web reveal the film is set to feature a niche location from Marvel’s Amazing Spider-Man comics.
It looks like Madame Web will feature more nods to Marvel’s most famous wall-crawler than Sony’s other Spider-Man spin-offs. Recent reports have suggested that Adam Scott is playing a young Ben Parker in the film, with Emma Roberts supposedly appearing as Peter Parker’s mother, Mary.
Now, a favorite haunt of Peter Parker’s has also been revealed to be appearing in the upcoming Spidey spin-off.
Madame Web‘s Spider-Man Diner
New photos shared by Twitter user @NancyWheelhouse show Madame Web‘s 4 Star Diner set.
The 4 Star Diner was introduced in Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 2 Issue 30. It was introduced as somewhere Peter Parker used to hang out with his friends during his college years. While it is a niche detail from Spidey’s comic book history, it marks one more tie between Madame Web and Peter Parker.

With multiple major Spider-Man characters apparently cropping up in Madame Web and now a location from Peter Parker’s comic book history also being featured, it looks likely the film will serve as something of a prequel story to Spider-Man’s crime-fighting career.
Here is the synopsis for Sony’s most recent Marvel film, Morbius:
“One of Marvel’s most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen as Oscar® winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero, Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder, and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. What at first appears to be a radical success, a darkness inside him is unleashed and transforms this healer into a hunter.”
Directed by Daniel Espinosa from a script written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, Morbius stars Jared Leto, Adria Arjona, Matt Smith, Jared Harris, Al Madrigal, and Tyrese Gibson. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach produced the project with Lucas Foster, with Palak Patel overseeing it for Sony.
Morbius is available on all home media formats, while Madame Web will hit theaters on October 6, 2023. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news regarding Madame Web, and be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
