In the past few years, rumors have been heating up again about a potential solo film for Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to Mark Ruffalo, Marvel has asked him not to comment on any potential plans for the project.
Mark Ruffalo has put his foot in his mouth more than any other Marvel actor. After all, the actor did spoil the infamous ending of Avengers: Infinity War a few years back. It seems Marvel has now put a muzzle on the actor, with Ruffalo revealing he’s been asked to remain silent about a potential Hulk solo film, whether or not it actually comes to light:
“Not that I know of,” Ruffalo admitted when asked if a Hulk project was in the works during a recent interview with Comicbook.com. “I’ve been asked not to comment on it, that specifically. Hopefully one day though they’ll work it out. I think it could be really cool and I’ve been putting a lot into what it could be to be cool, but I don’t know yet.”
Many fans consider Hulk to be one of the most wasted characters in the MCU. While Mark Ruffalo has done some amazing work with the character in the small roles he’s had in other projects, a true Hulk solo film could be what Marvel needs to put the character back on top! Or, at the very least, giving him a bigger role in a potential She-Hulk season 2!
When can fans expect to see She-Hulk again?
Although there has been no official announcement regarding a second season for She-Hulk, Tatiana Maslany’s Jennifer Walters is expected to appear in upcoming Marvel movies like Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and its follow-up Secret Wars. With the MCU exploring the concept of the multiverse in recent projects like Loki and Spider-Man: No Way Home, it’s possible that She-Hulk could make an appearance in different universes or interact with alternate versions of familiar characters.
Created by Stan Lee and John Buscema, She-Hulk first appeared in the pages of Marvel’s Savage She-Hulk #1 in 1979. Also known as Jennifer Walters, She-Hulk is the cousin of Bruce Banner AKA The Hulk and gains her powers after receiving a blood transfusion from him. Unlike Banner, Walters is able to retain her personality and intelligence while transformed into She-Hulk.
Marvel’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law stars Tatiana Maslany, Mark Ruffalo, Tim Roth, Benedict Wong, Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jameela Jamil, Jon Bass and Renée Elise Goldsberry.
