Former Marvel star Jonathan Majors won’t do any jail time after his assault conviction. The disgraced Kang actor recently received his sentence for a domestic violence intervention program.
Jonathan Majors has had a rough year, to say the least. Last March, the former Marvel star was arrested on charges of assault. This led to his publicist and manager dropping him, before finally being fired by Marvel Studios in December after being convicted of misdemeanor assault.
At the time, Jonathan Majors faced a year in jail. However, it seems the actor may avoid the walls of a cell altogether. Recent reports reveal that Majors will instead be sentenced to a 52-week domestic violence intervention program, with only 6 months in jail if the Marvel star fails to complete it.
Jonathan Majors’ Disastrous Return To The Spotlight
Jonathan Majors mostly kept a low profile during his trial. It was only a few weeks ago that the actor sat down in an interview to tell his side of the story and his feelings about being dropped by Marvel. This interview was not received well by the internet, with many mocking it as reminding them of something Homelander would do on The Boys.
The interview wasn’t just bad optically. Jonathan Majors found himself on the other end of yet another lawsuit because of it, with his ex-partner Grace Jabbari suing him on the grounds of “battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, malicious prosecution, and defamation,” due to his repeated denial of his abuse both before and after the trial.
