Is A TV Auction Teasing An MCU Future For Netflix’s Marvel Characters?

An upcoming Marvel TV auction for The Defenders and The Punisher could be hinting at a MCU future for the Netflix characters.

It’s been five years since Daredevil debuted on Netflix, launching a whole new corner of the MCU, or so we thought at the time. That series eventually led to The Defenders, which was met with mixed reactions. However, many still want to see the characters who lived on Netflix continue despite all the shows being canceled.

Many believed that the Netflix characters would have a role to play in the MCU, but that never happened. Due to a contractual clause, Marvel can’t continue with the Netflix versions of the characters until a two-year window passes. Since all the Netflix shows were canceled in favor of Marvel Studios shows for Disney Plus, props from the shows are now being auctioned off. Based off this auction, it’s looks like Marvel will either bring back the Netflix characters with brand-new looks or reboot them for the MCU. You can read what the auction has to offer below.

“PROP STORE presents an exclusive auction of over 500 original props, costumes, and more from MARVEL’S THE PUNISHER, MARVEL’S THE DEFENDERS, and highlights from MARVEL’S DAREDEVIL, MARVEL’S JESSICA JONES, MARVEL’S LUKE CAGE, and MARVEL’S IRON FIST. Register today to be entered for a chance to win an original NEW YORK BULLETIN NEWSPAPER or FRANK CASTLE COSTUME.”
