Michelle Pfeiffer confirmed she’ll return as Janet van Dyne in Ant-Man 3 as well as revealing when she starts filming the third film.
Although it’ll be some time before Paul Rudd leaps back into theaters as Ant-Man, it’s slowly becoming a fascinating project in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After it was announced that Jonathan Majors has joined Ant-Man 3 as Kang the Conqueror, many fans were quick to speculate what the time-travelling villain’s appearance might mean for the MCU going forward. Interestingly, Michelle Pfeiffer recently confirmed that she’ll reprise her role as the former Wasp, Janet van Dyne, in the sequel.
During an appearance on Ladies First with Laura Brown, the actress briefly noted “I’m supposed to do Ant-Man, the third one” before going on to say that she thinks production will start in Spring 2021. It seems likely that Ant-Man 3 could arrive in theaters at some point in 2022 (provided there aren’t any further delays to the Marvel slate). When asked about Kang the Conqueror being a part of the film, Pfeiffer simply stated “I don’t know.” Hopefully the next film will expand on the mysterious powers Janet had after returning from her time in the Quantum Realm.
