Millie Bobby Brown’s role as Eleven may be one of the most iconic in streaming history. Her uncanny yet powerful nature is what made Stranger Things into the behemoth it is today. After eight years, her journey as the character is finally set to come to an end in season 5. It seems that the ending also isn’t coming easy.
Filming for season 5 of Stranger Things is well underway, with the cast and crew hunkering down for a grueling nine-month production. Millie Bobby Brown celebrated this return with a set video during her coffee break. While not much was revealed, a bloody nose suggests her character may be facing some serious stakes in the final season.
Fans of Stranger Things know that Eleven is no stranger to nose bleeds. Every time Millie Bobby Brown’s character uses her iconic powers, at least a little bit of blood seeps from her nostrils due to the exertion. However, this trait has been lessened in recent seasons as the character grew more comfortable with her powers. The return of nose bleeds so early in filming for season 5 suggests that Eleven may be going up against a big threat really early on.
This aligns with the stinger from the last season of Stranger Things going into season 5. After the fight with Vecna, an apocalypse was shown to be raining down on Hawkins, complete with a giant fissure in the Earth unveiling the upside down for the world to see.
Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven will clearly be playing a big role in cleaning up that mess heading into season 5 of Stranger Things. The post may even suggest that the long production schedule for the season may stem from an increased use of monsters like Demogorgons.
Stranger Things has often been criticized for using kid gloves for their younger characters. Even Dustin actor Gaten Matarazzo has called out the creator’s tendency to play it safe. Yet this post by Millie Bobby Brown suggests this critique has been fixed going into season 5, at the very least for Eleven and the people around her.
