A new rumor suggests Loki composer Natalie Holt is scoring the Obi-Wan Kenobi series for Lucasfilm.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is a little over a month away from its two-episode debut on Disney Plus. One of the biggest mysteries surrounding the series is its composer. It’s been reported that John Williams will be involved with the series, but only for a theme, similar to what he did on Solo: A Star Wars Series. According to a new rumor, it appears Loki composer Natalie Holt will take on the rest of the musical responsibilities.

The rumor that Loki‘s Natalie Holt is on board for Obi-Wan Kenobi started at JWFan.com. With the upcoming series on the horizon soon, an official confirmation on who is scoring should be coming soon. Cinelinx‘s Jordan Maison later reached out to Lucasfilm about the rumor, with the studio sharing they would be “announcing soon.” Following her work on Loki, Holt has also been tapped to score the upcoming Batgirl film for HBO Max.

If Natalie Holt is part of the Disney Plus series, she would be the first woman to score a live-action Star Wars project. The Loki composer would also join a list of other notable composers who have carried the baton from John Williams like Michael Giacchino, John Powell, Ludwig Goransson, and Joseph Shirley.

Here is the synopsis for the upcoming Star Wars series:

During the reign of the Galactic Empire, former Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi embarks on a crucial mission. Kenobi must confront allies turned enemies and face the wrath of the Empire.”

Directed by Deborah Chow from Joby Harold’s scripts, the series stars Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie. The series will also see the return of legendary Star Wars composer John Williams, who scored a theme.

Obi-Wan Kenobi will hit Disney Plus on May 27, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the upcoming series, Loki‘s Natalie Holt, and subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
