‘Disney Gallery: The Book Of Boba Fett’ Special Confirmed For Star Wars Day

A behind-the-scenes Disney Gallery special centered on The Book of Boba Fett was confirmed for a Star Wars Day release on Disney Plus.

So far, 2022 is shaping up to be a big year for the Star Wars universe on Disney Plus. After the live-action stories took a break in 2021, series such as The Book of Boba Fett and the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor and third season of The Mandalorian look to bring audiences back to the iconic galaxy far, far away.

With less than two weeks away from May the Fourth, AKA Star Wars Day, an exciting new behind-the-scenes special is set to premiere on Disney Plus. This Disney Gallery documentary will be the fourth special exploring the live-action series following three from the first two seasons of The Mandalorian.

Here is the synopsis for the special:

“Disney Gallery: The Book of Boba Fett” explores the behind-the-scenes story of the legendary bounty hunter’s return to Tatooine with mercenary Fennec Shand, seeking to claim the territory once run by Jabba the Hutt. In this insightful new special, filmmakers, cast and crew reveal never-before-seen footage, groundbreaking technology and the practical effects that brought it all to life.

It’s safe to say that when it comes to this Disney Gallery special on this series, most viewers will certainly look forward to seeing how Chapters 5 and 6 were brought to life. Although the series received mixed reviews from critics, response to those two episodes in particular were quite positive, given that they were essentially continuations of The Mandalorian Season 2.

The Book of Boba Fett, a thrilling Star Wars adventure, finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the Galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.

Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Robert Rodriguez, and Kathleen Kennedy are all executive producers on The Mandalorian spin-off with episodes directed by Rodriguez, Favreau, Filoni, and Bryce Dallas Howard. The series stars Temuera Morrison, Ming-Na Wen, and Pedro Pascal.
