A new report may have revealed the first plot details for DC’s upcoming New Gods film directed by Ava DuVernay.
Not much has been revealed for New Gods, but perhaps that would be a good thing for the average comic book film fan. This film could bring something fresh to the big screen with a property that is not known as much to moviegoers. New Gods will center on characters from the incredible Jack Kirby and perhaps be something that has not been seen in comic book films before. As we’ve been keeping up with New Gods, not much has been revealed about the plot until now.
We Got This Covered reports the story of New Gods will be focusing on Mister Miracle and Big Barda trying to escape the hellish planet known as Apokolips. There will also be a conflict of politics between Apokolips and its rival world, New Genesis. However, this information should be taken with a grain of salt as it hasn’t been officially confirmed by Warner Bros. or DuVernay.
This will be amazing to see on the big screen as fans will be getting a look at Apokolips among probably other worlds within DC. With focus on a few characters, the story may be more character-based rather than a huge comic book blockbuster. This will be great to introduce more fans to these characters and get to know more of the worlds of DC.
