Nicolas Cage has stated that Marvel Studios hasn’t contacted him about returning as Ghost Rider.
Last year Tom Hiddleston’s Loki firmly established that there was indeed a multiverse and opened the door for any number of former Marvel actors to return to their roles. The most famous of these so far has been the return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield for Spider-Man: Far From Home. However, it also appears that Patrick Stewart is also returning to the role of Professor X. This has made many fans wonder who else may be up to return and Nicolas Cage as Ghost Rider is a name that comes up.
Earlier this month, Nicolas Cage was asked whether or not he would be up for joining a Marvel Cinematic Universe project. The question was one he somewhat talked his way around and many people read that as him dodging the question of whether or not he was going to return as Ghost Rider. While speaking to Comicbook.com, Nicolas Cage set the record straight and definitively said that he had not been approached by Marvel for a return as Ghost Rider:
“Not yet, no. That hasn’t happened, but what’s interesting is nobody asked me about going back to Ghost Rider. That was a question that came up, and they weren’t asking about Ghost Rider, they were asking ‘What do you think of the Marvel movies?’ And I gave my opinion about it.”
