Pedro Pascal has teased what Star Wars fans can expect from the third season of The Mandalorian, suggesting ideas from Season 1 will be revisited.

The Mandalorian explores the era between the original Star Wars trilogy and Disney’s sequel trilogy, focusing on the adventures of Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin, played by Pedro Pascal. The series’ upcoming third season is set to take Din back to the Mandalorian homeworld of Mandalore.

With Giancarlo Esposito’s Moff Gideon also set to return in Season 3, it looks like The Mandalorian could be about to answer some long-standing about the Imperial Remnant and Gideon’s plans for Grogu.

Pedro Pascal Promises Big Things For The Mandalorian Season 3

Speaking at D23 Expo, where the trailer for The Mandalorian Season 3 was released, Pedro Pascal calls the new season “epic.”

In an interview alongside The Mandalorian director Rick Fukuyama, Pedro Pascal was asked about Season 3 of the Star Wars series. While he couldn’t give any plot details away, he did tease that the new season would pick up plot threads still dangling from the show’s first season.

Pedro Pascal said of The Mandalorian Season 3:

“I mean it’s epic, it’s definitely epic. And we’re going to get a lot of things that were introduced into the storytelling early in season 1, themes and ideas that you’ll remember once we get into [the] full fruition of Season 3, and it’s epic, epic.”

The first trailer for The Mandalorian Season 3 promises more Mandalorians coming together than we have ever seen before in the Star Wars series and sets up a reunion/showdown between Din Djarin and Katee Sackhoff’s Bo-Katan Kryze. “Epic” certainly is the word.
