See Penn Badgley As The Joker For Robert Pattinson’s ‘The Batman’

From one vicious serial killer to another.

You Penn Badgley The Batman Robert Pattinson Joker

A new concept design imagines You star Penn Badgley as The Joker for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman universe.

While fans last saw Penn Badgley play a psychotic killer in Netflix’s You, a cool fan edit shows him as a new version of the Joker for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman. Audiences felt conflicted over the You star’s performance in the series since he’s motivated by love (to a dangerously obsessive level) but the character is definitely a toxic individual. Earlier this year, a rumor suggested that Matt Reeves is looking to introduce The Joker in a future sequel to the Robert Pattinson flick, but it’s not yet clear if that will actually happen.

The concept of Penn Badgley as The Joker comes from artist ‘britedit’ on Instagram and gives him a look that matches the darkness of Robert Pattinson’s The Batman. Badgley isn’t dressed in the villain’s typical suit and instead wears a purple coat and a black shirt. It’s a very practical take on the character, much like Paul Dano’s Riddler who fans briefly caught a glimpse of in the incredible first look at the film. But it’s his face which is the most frightening. The short hair and bright red lips fit perfectly with the Joker’s iconic look, but it’s the cracked skin which makes the actor look even creepier alongside those piercing green eyes. You can see Penn Badgley as The Joker now.

Who would you like to see Penn Badgley as The Joker in Robert Pattinson’s The Batman? Do you think the You star would be good in the role? Let us know in the comments!

Plot details for The Batman are being kept under wraps, but we know that the project will revolve around Robert Pattinson as a younger Bruce Wayne, chronicling Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector. The Batman will also feature the hero making use of his detective skills more than what we’ve seen before in previous iterations of the character. It is also expected to be the first installment to a new Batman trilogy with Pattinson.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, the film stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The Batman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on October 1, 2021. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news regarding Penn Badgley and the Batman universe, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content.
