The star previously praised the director at San Diego Comic-Con in 2017, but now wants to retract that statement.

Cyborg star Ray Fisher recently threw shade at Joss Whedon for his work on Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

As many fans already know, The Avengers director Joss Whedon came aboard Justice League after Zack Snyder left the project due to a family tragedy. This resulted in a vastly different story to the theatrical cut Snyder originally intended to make, as well as the “Release the Snyder Cut”movement. Earlier this week, Cyborg star Ray Fisher used a clip from San Diego Comic-Con in 2017 to take a shot at Whedon on his Twitter page.

In the clip, Cyborg star Ray Fisher says “Joss is a great guy and Zack picked a good person to come in and clean up and finish up for him.” However, Fisher captioned the footage saying he’d like to “forcefully retract every bit of this statement.” Obviously, this implies the actor thinks Joss Whedon isn’t a great guy and also suggests he doesn’t like the theatrical version of Justice League. All this is not that surprising since the Cyborg actor has been a vocal supporter of the Zack Snyder Cut for quite some time. Take a look below.

What do you think about Fisher retracting his statement about director Joss Whedon? Are you excited to see the Snyder Cut on HBO Max? Let us know in the comments!

Here’s the official synopsis for Zack Snyder’s Justice League:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut will arrive on HBO Max in 2021. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news regarding Joss Whedon, the Snyder Cut and other upcoming DC Films projects. Also, make sure subscribe to our YouTube channel for more video content!
