Hailee Steinfeld served as a breakout star following her appearance as Kate Bishop in Hawkeye, beccoming one of the most beloved characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Luckily for fans, it seems as though they’ll be seeing plenty of her in the future of the MCU.
This rumor comes from insider Daniel Richtman, better known as Daniel RPK. According to the scooper, Hailee Steinfeld will return as Kate Bishop in the heavily-rumored Young Avengers project, along with Avengers: Secret Wars and a second season of Hawkeye.
While Jeremy Renner is eager to return to the MCU as Hawkeye, his recent accident may prevent him from returning with the full force of his prior appearances. It’s possible that Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop will fully take the mantle of Hawkeye from Clint Barton in the show’s second season, allowing Renner to continue appearing in the MCU without as much strenuous activity. This would also allow Steinfeld to take a much more active role as more than just a sidekick, which seems to be Marvel’s plan for the character.
