Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson confirms he will return to a galaxy far far away after his next project, Knives Out.

Rian Johnson is not done leaving his mark in the world of Star Wars. Rian Johnson’s take on the famous characters from a galaxy far far away was one that did not sit well with many fans across the galaxy. There were some personalities changed among popular characters and additions of new ones that many fans did not seem to approve of. From Luke Skywalker’s fate, General Leia’s infamous scene, and who could forget, salt. Now, The Last Jedi director made an appearance at Cinemacon confirming to fans that he will return to the world of Star Wars after his next project, Knives Out. Even though Rian Johnson may have left some Star Wars fans upset, the director has done some incredible work in the past in television and film. Rian Johnson directed the most critically acclaimed episode of Breaking Bad “Ozymandias”. He also wrote and directed the sci-fi film Looper. Rian Johnson’s upcoming project Knives Out is written and directed by him and the cast contains a bunch of big movie stars. Not much is known about Knives Out, but Rian Johnson may be bringing something new and original to cinemas and may probably redeem himself in the world of Star Wars afterwards.

There is no official plot synopsis for Knives Out, but the film is described as a murder mystery in a classic whodunit style.
