The new Batsuit for Robert Pattinson’s Batman has yet to be revealed as the actor is currently working on Christopher Nolan’s next movie Tenet, but that won’t stop fans from imagining what he may look like as Ben Affleck’s replacement. Thanks to a new image from ShatterverseENT, fans can get a look at Robert Pattinson in a Batsuit inspired by the character’s DC Rebirth look.

Robert Pattinson had been rumored for The Batman for some time after Ben Affleck’s exit from the movie. He was on a list among other rumored candidates for the role, including Ansel Elgort, Dylan O’Brien, Logan Lerman, Noah Centineo, Jack O’Connell, Kit Harrington, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Richard Madden and Armie Hammer. In the end, it boiled down to X-Men star Nicholas Hoult and Robert Pattinson before the latter won the role.
Plot details for The Batman are being kept under wraps. Previous rumors once pointed to an earlier version of the script featuring Ben Affleck bookending the movie as his current Batman while it introduced a younger version of the iconic character, played by Robert Pattinson. But with Ben Affleck retired from the role, Robert Pattinson has officially replaced the Batman v Superman and Justice League star as the DC Extended Universe’s Batman.
While details are slim, The Batman helmer Matt Reeves has confirmed that his movie is not based on Frank Miller’s Year One comic and will emphasize the hero as the world’s greatest detective more than previous films have in the past. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new Batman trilogy starring Robert Pattinson.
Last month, Greig Fraser joined The Batman as its new cinematographer. His previous work includes Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Lion and Zero Dark Thirty. He also shot the 2010 remake of Let Me In, which was written and directed by Matt Reeves.
