New photos from the U.K. set of The Batman shows off Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne at a huge event in Gotham City.

Now that filming has resumed on Robert Pattinson’s The Batman after a brief shutdown, the star was spotted shooting scenes on the United Kingdom set of the film as Bruce Wayne. The star was spotted in a dark suit in Liverpool outside St. George’s Hall to film a funeral scene for Rupert Penry-Jones’ character while extras were seen dressed in black and carrying wreaths. Although it’s exciting to see new images of Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne, it’s also bittersweet after fans are still disappointed over the film’s delayed release date.

The new photos of Robert Pattinson on The Batman set arrived thanks to the Daily Mail and also showed the star in a stunning black sports car. Due to the location of the set and the nature of the scene, it seems likely that these scenes are tied to the shots in the trailer where an SUV, seemingly driven by Peter Sarsgaard’s character, crashes into the funeral. Take a look at Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne in the set photos below.

Plot details for The Batman are being kept under wraps, but we know that the project will revolve around Robert Pattinson as a younger Bruce Wayne, chronicling Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector. The Batman will also feature the hero making use of his detective skills more than what we’ve seen before in previous iterations of the character. It is also expected to be the first installment to a new Batman trilogy with Pattinson.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, the film stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The Batman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on October 1, 2021. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news regarding the Batman universe, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content.
