The DC FanDome trailer for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman may have revealed one of the Riddler’s victims in the upcoming movie.

While many DC fans have theorized that Peter Sarsgaard’s Gil Colson might be a cover for the secret introduction of District Attorney Harvey Dent, a newly-uncovered shot from the trailer for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman hints that the actor might play one of the Riddler’s victims in a dramatic moment. ScreenRant revealed the star’s moment in the trailer, as he’s shown with a letter to the Caped Crusader strapped to his chest and a phone attached to his hand after a car ploughs through a church with the letters ‘DA, DOA’ painted on it. “District Attorney, Dead on Arrival,” anyone?

The reveal comes soon after the news that production has been halted once again after The Batman star Robert Pattinson tested positive for the coronavirus. When Peter Sarsgaard opened up about his character earlier this year, he said that Gil Colson is a “distasteful person.” Paul Dano’s Riddler seems to be going after those involved with the corruption of Gotham City. Although his motivations are relatively unclear at the moment, a recent discovery suggested the villain might have military ties. Take a look at Peter Sarsgaard in Robert Pattinson’s The Batman below.

Plot details for The Batman are being kept under lock and key, but we know that the project will revolve around Robert Pattinson as a younger Bruce Wayne, chronicling Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector. The Batman will also feature the hero making use of his detective skills more than what we’ve seen before in previous iterations of the character. It is also expected to be the first installment to a new Batman trilogy with Pattinson.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, the film stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The Batman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on October 1, 2021. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news regarding Peter Sarsgaard, Paul Dano’s Riddler and Robert Pattinson’s The Batman universe, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content.
