A new photo from the Liverpool set of The Batman confirms Superman exists in the same universe as the Robert Pattinson movie.
At DC FanDome, it was confirmed Matt Reeves will be launching his own universe with The Batman that is separate from DC Extended Universe. While Reeves appears to be taking a grounded approach to Batman like Christopher Nolan did with The Dark Knight Trilogy, that doesn’t mean we won’t see other superheroes interact with Robert Pattinson’s young Bruce Wayne in the future.
A new photo from the set of The Batman captured a man in what appears to be a Christopher Reeves Superman costume. It seems that Reeves and his crew are currently filming a scene for a Halloween party, since there was also another picture of a cast member wearing a homemade Batman suit. With someone in The Batman showing up to a party in a Superman costume, a version of the Last Son of Krypton must exist in the same universe as Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne. You can see both of the set photos below!

Do you think we will see Robert Pattinson’s Batman team-up with a new Superman in a future film? Will The Batman plant the seeds for a new Justice League and DC Universe? Sound-off in the comments!
Plot details for The Batman are being kept under wraps, but we know that the project will revolve around Robert Pattinson as a younger Bruce Wayne, chronicling Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector. The Batman will also feature the hero making use of his detective skills more than what we’ve seen before in previous iterations of the character. It is also expected to be the first installment to a new Batman trilogy with Pattinson.
Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, the film stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.
The Batman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on March 4, 2022. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news regarding Robert Pattinson’s young Dark Knight, Superman, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more video content.
