Matt Damon makes fun of Ben Affleck over Robert Pattinson being the latest actor to play Batman during a video for an Omaze campaign the two actors are partnering up for.

When Robert Pattinson was first cast as Batman, many believed Ben Affleck’s days as the Dark Knight were over. However, we learned back in August that Affleck will return as Batman in Ezra Miller’s The Flash, which will also feature Michael Keaton’s Caped Crusader. This will be the first time we will be getting multiple Batmen appearing in different live-action projects at the same time as DC goes all into the multiverse idea.

While Robert Pattinson is currently filming The Batman in Liverpool, Ben Affleck won’t start filming The Flash until next year. However, the 48-year-old actor appears to be back in superhero shape based on a recent video he did with his longtime friend Matt Damon. In the video, Damon jokes Pattinson took his Batman job. The two got together to promote their Omaze campaign for the Eastern Congo Initiative that promises a lucky winner to hang out with both of them over lunch. Directed by Andy Muschietti from a script written by Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson, The Flash will be inspired by the Flashpoint comic storyline which followed The Flash as he navigated an altered DC Universe. Written by Geoff Johns and penciled by Andy Kuber, Flashpoint radically altered the status of the DC Comics universe and led to the launch of the New 52 titles. It is currently unknown how much inspiration the upcoming Ezra Miller film will take from the comic.

The Flash is set to hit theaters on June 3, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on The Flash and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more exclusive video content.
