Rose Salazar is officially joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe! Fans can get their first look at Salazar as the Marvel villain Diamondback in a new Captain America: Brave New World set photo.
The set photo fairy has been feeding fans well during the Captain America: Brave New World reshoots. The first one that found its way online showcased a surprising connection to a classic Marvel franchise. Now, new blood is finding its way into the MCU through a villain in the film: Diamondback.
Rumors about the villain Diamondback appearing in Captain America: Brave New World began circulating last year. Up until now, Marvel has been able to keep the character and the actor under wraps. However, this new set photo gives fans their first look at Rosa Salazar as the devious Serpent Society member, complete with bright pink hair.
The Serpent Society’s Role In Captain America: Brave New World
Fans have known that the Serpent Society will appear in Captain America: Brave New World for a while. However, for a while, it was speculated that Rose Salazar’s Diamondback and the rest of her band of brothers would be cut from the project. This set photo all but proves those rumors were false.
Rose Salazar’s Diamondback certainly won’t be alone in Captain America: Brave New World. The Serpent Society is confirmed to feature WWE star Seth Rollins. While his role in the group is unclear, the villain team will likely feature the roster of Constrictor, Rattler, Asp, and Cobra. Actors for the remaining roles have yet to be spotted or disclosed by Marvel.
