Ahsoka star Rosario Dawson teased the role of Grand Admiral Thrawn in her upcoming series.

The Star Wars universe is continuing its break from the big screen and focusing on new TV series for the time being. Part of those plans is its prominent use of Ahsoka Tano, who first made her debut in Star Wars: The Clone Wars in animated form. Rosario Dawson portrayed her in her live-action debut during Season 2 of The Mandalorian. She has since made an appearance in The Book of Boba Fett, and will star in a standalone series of her own. In regards to what that series entails,it appears that we will be seeing her along with Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) on the search for their old friend Ezra Bridger, who was last seen in Star Wars Rebels along with Grand Admiral Thrawn.

The new adventures of Ahsoka Tano.

Rosario Dawson recently made an appearance at C2E2 2023, in which she discussed filming Ahsoka, where she dropped hints regarding what can be happening with Grand Admiral Thrawn, given that her episode of The Mandalorian teased where that series is headed:

“That dude, man…incognito,” Dawson says. “Maybe we get the Scarlet Witch to help us, she can jump through multiverses, right? Let’s go, girl! Yeah, I mean, that’s a really big key kind of giveaway in Mando about what my show could potentially be about. Obviously, we are really trying to track [Thrawn] down, so we’ll see what happens…

It’s clear that Lucasfilm is priming up Ahsoka Tano as one of the most prominent figures in Star Wars moving forward. Given that she’s integral to the current timeline of The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and her own series, it’s likely that Rosario Dawson will remain a lynchpin in the franchise for the foreseeable future.

Ahsoka is expected to premiere on Disney Plus in 2023. Here is the synopsis for the most recent Star Wars series, Obi-Wan Kenobi:

During the reign of the Galactic Empire, former Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi embarks on a crucial mission. Kenobi must confront allies turned enemies and face the wrath of the Empire.

Directed by Deborah Chow from Joby Harold’s scripts, the series stars Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie. The series will also see the return of legendary Star Wars composer John Williams, who scored a theme.
