Is Julia Garner already on her way out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe? A new rumor suggests The Fantastic Four may not end well for the Silver Surfer.
Fans were shocked when it was revealed that Julia Garner would be playing the Silver Surfer in the upcoming The Fantastic Four reboot for the MCU. She was an odd pick that the internet quickly warmed up to, leading her to be one of the most anticipated cast members to see on the silver screen.
However, it seems her time in the MCU won’t be long. According to a new rumor from Hollywood insider Alex Perez at The Cosmic Circus, Julia Garner will only make a single appearance as the Silver Surfer. Her role as the Herald of Galactus will simply be a “one and done” once The Fantastic Four hits theaters.
What Julia Garner’s Departure Means For The Silver Surfer
This rumor actually aligns with a lot of speculation surrounding The Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer’s role in it. With it being highly suggested that the film will initially take place in an alternate universe, many fans believe that Julia Garner’s version of the Silver Surfer will sacrifice herself to bring the First Family into the MCU proper.
Fans may also already know who will replace Julia Garner as the Silver Surfer. A now-deleted post by Lakeith Stanfield implied that the actor believed himself to be playing the Cosmic Waverider in The Fantastic Four. While he may have been wrong about that, it’s possible he’ll take on the mantle once the transition is made into the MCU.
