Is The Batman coming to the MCU? A new rumor suggests that Robert Pattinson recently sat down to talk with the head of Marvel Studios!
Robert Pattinson has gone through a complete transformation over the past decade. The actor went from being one of the most clowned on actors for his role as Edward in the Twilight films to one of the most in demand stars due to his roles in critically acclaimed projects like The Lighthouse and action blockbusters like The Batman.
This has left many fans frothing at the mouth at the idea that everyone’s favorite emo boy might find his way into the MCU. According to the rumor mill, those hopes aren’t far off. A new report from insider DanielRPK reveals that Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige met with The Batman star for a possible role in the MCU. However, it wasn’t clarified what project Feige was interested in having Robert Pattinson star in.
Who Could Robert Pattinson Play In The MCU?
While Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios likely meet with hundreds of actors for deals that never come true, there’s no harm in entertaining this rumor and dreaming about who Robert Pattinson could play in the MCU. Ever since The Batman, fans have been begging for the actor to play Daredevil in some form. Though given Charlie Cox already has that role on lock, it’s likely Feige would want him for a much meatier role.
Robert Pattinson is also a popular fancast for quite a few mutants in the MCU, including but not limited to Cyclops, Angel and Nightcrawler. Given Kevin Feige wants Marvel Studios to focus on the X-Men in the coming years, it would make sense for want an established leading man to helm the franchise. And what leading man is more experienced than the star of The Batman?
