For as many answers as Secret Invasion gave in its finale, it also left fans with plenty of questions. However, it may very well tease a paranormal future in the MCU for Emilia Clarke’s Skrull character Gi’ah with Oliva Colman’s Sonya Falsworth.

Before Secret Invasion came out, many fans believed Emilia Clarke would be playing the MCU’s version of Abigail Brand, a half-alien S.W.O.R.D. agent. Clarke, of course, ended up playing Talos’ daughter Gi’ah, becoming the last remaining Super Skrull following Gravik’s death, with the series’ ending teasing her involvement with Sonya Falsworth to help fight as a leader of the Skrulls. However, her connection to Falsworth may mean that Gi’ah will be returning to the MCU as a member of MI13.
MI13 is a secret British agency in Marvel Comics set up to deal with the paranormal and extraterestrial. While Emila Clarke’s Gi’ah has no analogue in the comics, nor does Oliva Colman’s Sonya Falsworth, one can’t help but notice the connection in the groups fighting in a secret war revolving around aliens like Skrulls. Multiple other MI13 members, such as Blade and Black Knight, also already exist in the MCU. While it’s certainly a reaching theory, it would be the perfect way to tie so many seemingly disparate British heroes together.
How Marvel is adapting Secret Invasion
Secret Invasion is based on the comic book storyline of the same name, which was created by Brian Michael Bendis and Leinil Francis Yu. The story revolves around a group of Skrulls, an alien race that has the ability to shape-shift and take on the appearance of anyone they want. The Skrulls have infiltrated Earth’s society and are secretly replacing key figures with their own kind in order to take over the planet.
The full Secret Invasion cast also includes Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, Kingsley Ben-Adir as Gravik, Emilia Clarke as G’iah, Don Cheadle as James “Rhodey” Rhodes and Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross. Olivia Colman, Dermot Mulroney, Killian Scott, Christopher McDonald, Carmen Ejogo and Charlayne Woodard are also on board in undisclosed roles.
