CCXP: New ‘Shazam!’ Scene Details Introduction Of Doctor Sivana

David F. Sandberg Lights Out Shazam DC Comics Zachary Levi

Without a doubt, one of the most highly anticipated films of 2019 among the comic book film fan community is Shazam!, which will serve as the seventh overall film in the DC Extended Universe (or Worlds of DC). The film’s first trailer impressed many with its incredibly light tone and comedic style.

Right now in Brazil, an event known as the Comic Con Experience is taking place, where tons of new scenes from upcoming superhero films are being showcased. Now, thanks to Twitter user Luiz Fernando, we have new details on a brand new scene that was showcased at the event, focusing on Zachary Levi’s Shazam and character Doctor Sivana, and the first interaction between the two characters.

The scene in question has Shazam claiming that he cannot be defeated, which is where Doctor Sivana comes in to play, as he throws the titular character and makes him beg for his life. The scene gets even more humorous from here too, as Doctor Sivana complains Shazam acts too much like a child, to which Shazam replies that he is one. He then begins to fall and shouts “Superman! Superman!” and then begins to float. You can check out his tweets below.

Directed by David F. Sandberg, Shazam! stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans, and Djimon Honsou.

We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).

Shazam! will be released in theaters on April 5, 2019.

The Avengers Have A Plan
