Was Tatiana Maslany in the wrong? The She-Hulk star speaks on a comment she made last year about Disney CEO Bob Iger.
Last year was a heated time in the entertainment industry. The SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes put everyone on edge in their attempt to get back to work, with many executives calling the strikers entitled and many strikers calling executives greedy.
One such case of this affected the House of Mouse itself. During the strikes, Disney’s CEO Bob Iger commented that the strike demands were ultimately “unrealistic.” This angered She-Hulk star Tatiana Maslany, who said that she viewed Iger as “out of touch,” adding that it was the writers and crews who made his millions possible.
Tatiana Maslany Speaks On Her Words
While many people both on and off the picket line would likely agree with Tatiana Maslany’s assessment of the situation, it seems she isn’t the happiest with how things were framed. When speaking of the event, the She-Hulk star explained she got a little heated due to the nature of the strikes when talking about Bob Iger and Disney.
“In those moments, you’re so heated up,” Maslany explained during a recent talk with The Independent. “It’s hard to articulate yourself in a way that you want when you’re on the picket line with everybody.”
Some online view this as Tatiana Maslanay’s attempt to get back into the good graces with Disney and Bob Iger in order to ensure her role as She-Hulk in the MCU is secured. However, there are plenty of actors who say they made mistakes on the picket line and even more executives who should say that. The strikes were a rough time for everyone, so perhaps it’s best to just start anew.
